Neighborhoods

Age-Friendly Neighborhoods are good places to grow up and grow old.

Age-Friendly Greater Pittsburgh works with neighborhood leaders who want to improve the experiences of older adults and people of all ages in their neighborhood.

Clairton, Coraopolis and the Hill District were chosen as the inaugural group of Age-Friendly Neighborhoods for a two-year term, 2022-2023. This work is led in partnership with Lively Pittsburgh.

Age-Friendly Greater Pittsburgh works with neighborhood leaders who want to improve the experiences of older adults and people of all ages in their neighborhood.

These leaders spearhead intergenerational neighborhood events and projects with strategic and funding support from Age-Friendly Greater Pittsburgh.

This initiative seeks to share neighborhood stories both within and outside your neighborhood. Older adult voices will be amplified through creative storytelling, including photography and videography, social media and intergenerational events.
